I tend to have problems with social anxiety so yes, a little alcohol helps me to loosen up in social settings.

It can, just dont let it become a social crutch!

No, but it WILL make you sick and hungover. It's best just to keep with one type of alcohol. Maybe straight --or watered down -- whiskey OK with beer but spare the mixers. If you're drinking wine, DEFINITELY no beer or mixed drinks in addition to. And no matter what you're drinking, it always helps to drink water to avoid headache --or worse--in the morning

No. mixed drink with a sweet mixer and beer in the same night will just make you sick. But then most people have to drink until they get sick. It will help people who need a crutch to get social. Then what do you mean by social. A little talking , sex, falling down drunk, or the one who want to fight and can not stand. Well yes then alcohol in any shape will help. To much social drinking will get you in the jail house or dead or if you are a girl, pregnant, so how much social do you want to get this week end, I will buy the first drinks and we can talk about the old ,good, times we had.

No, talking to people and spending time with friends makes you social.
Drinking makes you less inhibited. If a lessening of inhibitions is what you consider social, then I guess the answer is yes.
You can do the same thing with people and have a Coke. It's the glass in your hand that makes you feel part of the crowd.

sure why not. just don't over do it of course and watch out for binge drinkers, they are dramatic and dangerous.
