Port would be a tad on the sweet side for me.
Basically, you drink the kind of wine you like, regardless of what critics say.
We drink merlots and chardonnays a lot, but also several other varieties.
It depends on the cheese. Some cheeses go better with reds some with whites and of course some with ports........but to end a nice meal a little cheese platter and a nice glass of Cockburn's LBV would be awesome!
