Vodka or Rum?!
Answers: Im new to the whole drinking thing, but ive tried a bunch of different types of alcohol but hate the taste of almost all of it. So i go with rum to just get tipsy faster. The tase is almost unbearable tho. A friend said to try vodka, cuz it tastes better (or less terrible). Does it actually?
your in the same boat as me, i just turned 21 and im really not that big of a drinker, all thru h/s i drank rum and cant even stand it anymore switch to vodka, its easier to mix with stuff. i like cosmos they will get u messed up and u cant even tase the alcohol or try just cranberry & vodka. juices usually work better for me even tho they are sweet u dont have all that carbination with beer & soda (liekrum& cokes)]

High quality vodka has little or no taste and no aftertaste.
To me, vodka burns a little stronger if taken straight. But the good thing is it mixes well with almost anything-- sodas, juice, gatorade, tonic, etc. etc.!
WELL I LIKE DRINKING BEER MY FAVORITE IS BUD ICE BUT I ONLY DRINK THE 32OZ BUD ICED WITH 2 OR 3 AM FEELING GOOD BUT FROM Vodka or Rum? I WOULD SAY VODKA
jack daniels with coke, vod and lucozade or gin with ginger they'd be my favs
it depends on what you mix the liquors with. I suggest cranberry for plain vodka and coke for rum.
Neither. If you're new to drinking and you want a nice tasting drink that still has a decent kick to it, go for a 7 & 7 - which is Seagram's 7 whisky topped off with 7up or Sprite. It has a smooth and delicious taste that doesn't get muddy on the tongue, and it's not overly sugary like the girlier drinks can be, so you won't get the sugar blues the following day if you overdo it a wee bit.

I like both but Vodka always gets me going quicker and there only a few types of rum I like but everything about vodka weather its smirnoffs or absolute its always good to have vodka straight up!
It come down to personal preference. Try lots of things. Vodka does not taste like anything but alcohol. Gin on the other hand is vodka with good herbs spices and juniper berries and mixes with lots of stuff. There are lots of diferent styles of whisky/whiskey. While your at it you might as well try tequila too. Also the hundreds of other varieties of liquors and thousand of beers and wines.

Long island ice teas are the best. Vodka gives me a nasty hangover but rum makes me feel all warm and cozy!!
