Is it illegal to not provide free drinking water at nightclubs in melbourne?!
Answers: Some places only offer bottled water which is usually ridiculously priced! Any ideas? And if it is illegal where can i make a complaint?
Yes it is. The licensing admin board (LAB) is the person to go to with a complaint about it.
To have a license it is a legal requirement that free water be provided on request, a few bars in the past have got around this law by charging for use of the glass it comes in but this has now been stamped out.
Do keep in mind though that bars are there to make money and they have to pay their costs. If you are one of those people who dont spend a cent all night and order water all night I have no sympathy whatsoever, otherwise though, make it heard!
Most likely with the licensing agency. I know in the US you would complain to the Liquor Control Board.
Oi,
That's ridiculous to be denied a cup of water. Usually I'll ask for a cup of ice, and give the barkeep a dollar tip.
Or if you explain that you are the designated driver for the group, they may give you free soda all night (as long as the rest of the party is drinking). Otherwise, I'll just take a empty unused cup off any table and fill it in restroom faucet.
Is it illegal not to melbourne shuffle while rolling? I dont know the answer to either but if you dont melbourne shuffle your either a dipstick or you cant do it!
