Man, Windows Movie Maker sucks. Help?!

Question:

Man, Windows Movie Maker sucks. Help?

Basically, it's been awhile since I've used it and I opened up an old project (most of the video files have been moved) and I'd be ready to save this file as a movie except for one little problem. It says it can't find the codec to work with an AVI file. If there's a codec out there for this, what is it and where can I get it? Actually, I don't think I even care what it is. I just want Windows Movie Maker to stop being a ***** and let me save my file.

Answers:
well for one thing, if most of the video files you've used is gone or have been moved, then you won't be able to save it even if you found a codec. You need to make sure you have all the files or sources and they are in the same places. They cannot be moved!

Secondly, you can download and install the full k-lite codec pack. It does contain some avi codecs you should need (hopefully). :) You can download it here: http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/...
