as long as the stain has not dried in you can just remove it with white wine. otherwise white wine vinegar works a treat. for real stubborn stains on whites you can use bleach but only for whites of course
woolite has an excellent carpet cleaning solution, look for the blue bottle, it'll get it out of your carpet and your suit. It is an Oxydeep type formula not bleach based.
Soda or Seltzer water with Salt always works wonders for me. Good luck.
Bicarbonate soda with lemon and water works wonders and add a bit of detergent!
Vinigar and soap i think works, just leave it on there for awhile and then clean off with water
