How can you cure alcoholism?!

Question:

How can you cure alcoholism?

Answers:
with another beer

DRINK MORE

Alcoholism is an addiction and should be treated as such. Seek someone more knowledgeable then Yahoo answers for that sort of thing.

there's actually no cure for alcoholism. first you ave to admit that you are one, and then get help. but your will power is the determination whether you will drink or not. occasional drinks get you right back to drinking heavily. you have to put your mind on quitting completly but you will never cure it. it's really hard.

you can not cure alcoholism..
but you could get help from a professional..
go seek help from your GP or you could try your local AA meeting or if it's a friend there is Al-anon..
hope it helps..

Definitely agree that you need outside help....
I have heard that alcoholism might be due to the lack of a certain enzyme in the body, and it seems like going to a nutritionist might help.
I think you need balance in your life - not only a balanced diet, but a balance between work and play, an emotional balance, and a harmonius balance with friends and family. Try to recognize the ways you are poisoning your life through your thought and action, and by the company you keep. Know that alcohol is a drug, addiction is serious, and even though this road probably won't be easy, you can do it!!! Good luck!

alcoholism cannot be "cured" it can only be treated. think of it as a chronic condition like, for instance, crohn's disease or diabetes. both Crohn's and type 1 diabetes are incurable, but can be managed by proper treatment (a combination of proper diet and nutrition, as well as exercise).

assistance from mental health professionals is needed to treat alcoholism. some people find that 12-step programs like Alcoholics Anonymous are very helpful and supportive of the daily work that must be done to avoid slipping back into the abyss of alcoholism.
