What in-expensive wine goes well with...?!

Question: What nice, yet in-expensive (less than 20$), wine goes well with elk steak. Elk tastes alot like beef, but with much less fat. I was doing some research and what I found was a red wine. Im not sure though. Also I do not know who makes a good wine.

Okay, first, white zinfandel is more of a wine cooler taste than wine. I would highly recommend you not go with a white zinfandel or really any white for that matter.
You could go with a cabernet but it might be too much for the meat. I think your best best would be a zinfandel - not white zin - this one is a red wine.
Some to try:
Seghesio Sonoma Zinfandel $16
Seven Deadly Zins $13
Ravenswood Zinfandel $10-15

If you want to try a Cabernet:
Robert Mondavi - $20
BV Century Cellars - $10
Big Yellow Cab - $10
Concannon Cabernet - $12

I am partial to Carlo Rossini's Sangria.

One of my favorite Merlot's is Smoking Loon. You can buy it almost anywhere and it runs around $10-$13. Goes great with any red meat.

white zinfandel beringer for $3.00 seriously in wal-mart 100% not lying

Arbor Mist Blackberry Merlot. I love it!

Try any of the "two-buck Chuck" reds from Trader Joe's
The Charles Shaw outclasses all for under $10 a bottle.

The wine goes well with less fat food could be either less tannic red wine, like Merlot or Pinot Noir, or full bodied white wine, like Chardonnay. For $20, you can get pretty decent wines at that price range.

For Merlot, you may try something from St. Emilion (sub-region of Bordeaux); For Pinot Noir, you may try something from Burgundy area of Frence or Marlborough area of New Zealand. Chardonay, you may find a lot of full bodied Chardonay from Napa and Sonoma.
