I dont really like red wine,is there a red wine thats not bitter or oaky?!

Question: Some people stick to white wines or blush wines and forego the reds completely. Red wine has a heartier flavor that can range from deep, rich and leave a slightly bitter after taste, to excessively sweet and cloying (think MoganDavid). I happen to love both red and white wines and here are some of my favorite reds:

1. Nocetto Sangeovese
2. Barbera
3. Chianti
4. Merlot
5. Syrah

How about some wine tasting some time to test your tastebuds? Sticking to the lighter varietals might do the trick, or you might just want to stick to the whites.

try a pinot noir

Have you tried Plum Wine? Also if I have a really dry wine, I add a bit of Ginger Ale and make it a spritzer, it takes the bite out

I was the same as you, b ut have recently got into red wine in a big way.

I started with Fleurie, then have got into cabernet sauvinon. Look for berry flavoured wine. I had one which had an aftertaste of strawberry but I cant remember the name. You can usually find a good description on the label of what to expect.

Try your local wineries. Many have some lighter reds with a touch of sweetness and are un-oaked. Be careful though because some are atrocious.

how about a red zinfandel

There are wines fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. These wines are fruity and definitely not oaky. The trick of finding these wines is that you have to ask when you shop for wines next time because they are not always clearly marked on the label.
