Corona is seriously expensive. Have you found a Mexican beer that is less & but close to Corona's great taste!

Question: Caronas great taste!
Like the Aussies with Fosters, Mexicans dont drink that crap, they export to the people who think its trendy

Carona is low beer on the mexican beer chain!
Try a decent Mexican beer like Cucapá Centenario

haha thats funny corona is actually the piss of mexican beers seriously check out how its made. But Sol is better and cheeper i love it. Pacifico is also good but as expensive

I don't know how it compares to Corona, but Modelo is pretty good =)

I really like Modelo.

Let me break down your question here...

"Corona is seriously expensive" - Hardly. Chimay is about $10 a 12 ounce bottle. Corona is a mid range as far as cost goes at best. Lower mid range would be more accurate.

"...but close to Corona's great taste" - When did Corona get a great taste? Last I knew it was a skunked pale lager that need a lime wedge to stop it from tasting like dirty foot fungus.

EDIT:

lofgr8fuld3d, Negra Modelo... With an "a" not an "o".

Modelo is actually the Budweiser and Corona is the Busch in Mexico.

YES! ***** MODELO IS THE BEST!

edit: ha! this thing wouldn't let me type the first word, but you could find it anyway. try it you'll love it!

Edit: trying to fall asleep and realized I wrote "O" not "A" ... that's why it wouldn't work... thanks,
also try Bohemia, (not bohemio) :)

I prefer Dosequis

Corona itself is really not good tasting at all (besides the fact that it's in a clear bottle that allows light to pass through the beer, which makes it taste skunky).

Maybe it's the lime that you like that Corona is typically drank with? I'm not too familiar with other Mexican beers, but if you like the citrus flavor and a lighter beer, try a Hefeweizen (sometimes served w/a lemon wedge, but a good one won't even need it - try Schneider & Sohn's Hefe-weizen, Widmer's, Franziskaner) or try a Beligan Wit (sometimes served w/an orange, but same principal.. - try Hoegaarden, Ommegang Witte, Allagash White ).

Much better beer made with much better ingredients.

Tecate is pretty good.
