All of France is famous for it's cheeses and wines. I don't think that there is a city (famous or not) that is renown for producing both.
Paris is the most famous city where one can enjoy the fruits of the rest of the country.
Gee. Any place in France produces excellent cheese. You may find a dozen different cheeses for a 100 square mile area. The most famous would be Camembert or Brie. They also have some excellent sheep's and goat's milk cheeses. There are so many you'd never experience them all.
