Is drinking straight out of a beer keg safe?!

Question:

Is drinking straight out of a beer keg safe?

i hear there is acid in it

Answers:
Why wouldn't it be safe? Well, that is to say, it's just as safe as drinking other beer. Any beer you get at a bar is going to be out of a keg, so that's in the same boat.
Some people may say it's dangerous because it's in a metal container and there are contaminants in the metal, but those things are sanitized. Also, consider how beer is made: for the most part, it goes through a whole lot of metal containers in the first place, so putting it into a keg adds no more risk

It is safe.

Its ok so long as you don't drop it on yourself

There is no acid in it. Drinking straight from the keg is no different than drinking out of a glass (which was filled straight out of the keg).

I have drained many a keg in my bar and also at parties and I have no acid burns. I am a sr citizen and still kicking on high with no side problems from beer in a keg.

I used to do kegstands all the time...and I'm fine, I guess

Safe to drink, stupid to do it from a keg, what if you drop it on your head?

Accident waiting to happen!

It's probably not the best idea, but I do remember doing keg stands back in the day and I'm still here 10 years later! Drink up but be safe :)

no

I saw a drunk guy bust out his front teeth in college.

mmmmmmm..... beer......

Its ok.Im living proof
