Beer battered onion rings?!

Question: with metric quantities plz!!

Answers: with metric quantities plz!!

The best I have found

Take a large onion and cut into thick rings. Soak the rings in milk for 10 minutes or so. Then put them in a plastic bag with plain flour and shake to coat them.

Meanwhile take about 200 grams of flour, season well and mix in an egg (duck if you can get it as the yolk is richer) Then take a bottle of ICE COLD beer, and I mean ICE COLD, and add to the flour until you get a mixture that coats the back of a spoon when you dunk it in.

Imediately coat your rings and deep fry them in hot oil. Drain on some paper and enjoy!

If you want them to be spicy add extra black pepr and a touch of cayenne to the flour you drench them in.

Have fun!

i've heard that there good....although i have never tried them....

They are so damn good, lets go get some! Race ya to the pub!

They usually do and you can get them as a half foot or foot long selection, mmmmm

tried them before, their delicous!!!

Hi there.
It is very easy, just use lager in place of water when making the batter - any packet batter or batter recipe will do. The onion rings are usually made by unravelling the circles inside the onion then weaving a few together, but you get better results from getting bigger onions and using the segments direct.
Enjoy, Steve.

1 - 3/4 to 2 cups flour
salt & pepper
12 oz. can beer
mix acording to how thick you want the batter.

sorry dont know metric version
