What's the standard measure for Beer?!

Question: In England when you go into a pub you ask for a pint of lager or what have you. In Australia you get a schoe or something like that, basically its a rip off pint. But what is the standard measure for a beer in the USA?

Pint... but ours are only 16 ounces and not 20 like yours.

Or a bottle which is 12oz.

in the us i think its still just a pint.

12oz bottle

In the States they usually have two choices, bottled or draft.
Bottled beer comes in a standard 12 oz glass bottle, drafts are generally in a pint sized glass. The better the bar the more extensive draft menu.

In Australia it is a schooner, and they are about half a pint.

Like most other parts of the world the US has a wide range of sizes, normally a 12 0z glass.

12 oz bottle..Or a 40

Most cans or bottles in the US are 12 oz., but "tall boys" are 16. In a bar, it can vary anywhere from 10 oz. to over 32.

Most US places call it a pint, but its usually 14oz. Some have an actual 16 oz glass, though.

Anyone notice that most places serve you a beer that's got no head because they poured beer until the glass overflowed? Why do you think I want a giant sticky mug with beer in it?
