Why would someone want to drink a beer in the morning after drinking all night?!

Question: That would be the last thing I would want to do! But for some reason my boyfriend will do that. Is he an alcoholic?

A hangover is your body trying to heal yet craving that which you drank the night before because you had so much it hurts the next morning. The "hair of the dog" concept is that you give the body what it is craving from the previous nights partying.
So when you're hungover you have a beer or two the next morning to ease the craving your body is asking for and help subside the hangover.
Make sense?

yeah he probably is an alcoholic but then i guess that would make me one too. r u familiar with "hair of the dog"? drinking more alcohol when hungover makes you feel way better (even though it can be tough to get the first couple down) its my normal sunday morning remedy and it works a treat. just sucks because it means you cant really drive anywhere for the day.

It's a quick-fix for hangover, but doesn't really work. You should talk to him about his drinking, maybe really early in the morning, at full volume while cooking a plate of eggs, just to really drive the lesson home.

Yes he is ! Try to get him on coffe or some other stimukant in the morning , if that dosn't work then he's got a problem.

He sounds like... or maybe hes not... umm.. i heard You drink in the morning so you dont get sick or to make you feel better?? dont ask me that would make me wanna throw up!

It is a somewhat bad way of fixing a hangover. A bloody Mary works better. The tomato juice and stuff.

Going for the "Hair of the dog that bit you." does not make you an alcoholic. Being adidcted to alcohol makes you an alcoholic.

It does not necessarily mean he is an alcoholic, maybe he does it to try and get that good 'drunken feeling' back again.....hangovers are terrible, but this could be a reason why he does it....
