No I stick to shandies and find that I don't have a paranoid hangover and still get merry and have a good time.

if i switch from drinking beer to hard alcohol.. i always end up vommiting..
so i use to but after learning my lesson over and over again..
its best if i just stick to drinking beer :)

I never switch to spirits, I stick to my beer all night long. Switching drinks during the night gives me a worse hangover.
yeah i do i can handle about 2 pints before my stomach feels like its going to burst (and i'm a bit of a lightweight) , then i have to stick to malibu or vodka and pineapple juice. x
I do eventually switch to vodka redbulls because beer tends to make me fall asleep!
I stick to lager till I feel myself gettin too drunk then switch to Tia Maria but not too often,usually stick to the beer.
yep there is only so much lager you can drink, after 6-7 i either switch to cider (is good because its so refreshing and wont get you as messy as shorts) or shorts (risk of drinking them to quickly and getting very messy!)

Why would you do that when there are so many good beers to try?
I ususally start with hard liquor- both are usually way over-priced when you go out. Suggestion: Start drinking at home, then only have a couple when you go out.
Yes, defo! After about 5/6 pints I really cant hold any more! I must turn to the hard stuff!
However I never mix the beer and win combo! Always leads to a horrible night!

pi ss ed and makes my belly luk huge! so i end up on sprits in the end!
i always switch to bacardi cola after a few beers cos' i get too bloated after beer but i never puke like some of these other lightweights that answered.
