Answers:
In the spring/summer months, I find that a white wine sangria is just perfect with grilled meats and picnic or outdoor gatherings. I make mine using kiwi, seedless watermelon, cantaloupe or honeydew melon (scooped in balls), ripe seedless lime sliced thin and strawberries as much as you like of each fruit ingredient. Put all fruit in a large pitcher, or punch bowl, add superfine sugar (2tbsp.), 3-4oz of Cointreau and apricot or apple brandy, (use regular brandy if you like), 1 bottle of your favorite fruity white wine (I like Sauvignon Blanc, or Pinot Grigio, but you could also use Chablis or a Reisling which is sweeter) and lastly 1-2 cups of white cranberry juice. Add more sugar until its to your liking. If you like your sangria a little bubbly you can add pelligrino or seven-up/sprite, but if you use soda, you probably won't need the sugar in the previous step.

Lots of citrus fruit and thick Cabernet and try adding some triple sec

The beauty of Sangria is that there is no one recipe. Use a combination of clear fruit juices (grape, apple, cranberry) and dry red or white wine. The juice will keep it plenty sweet without adding one of the sweeter wines. Cut up some orange and lime slices, and float them with a few grapes in your mixture. I've even seen people put sprite or wine coolers into their sangria mixture. At one wine tasting party, the hosts had a big vat of sangria made to start things off, and then, as they went through several courses of wine tastings, after one group of wines was done, they poured what was left in the bottles that had not been drank into the sangria. If it started getting too tart, they added more fruit juice or some wine coolers. Make your sangria a party. You won't be sorry.

Here's mine. Bottle of dry red wine. 1 cup of sugar, one Orange and one lemon sliced and put into the pitcher couple of shots of triple sec, and a healthy splash of champagne.

To make your sangria interesting, use a white wine or a Chablis instead of red. Small slices of citrus floating on top in a glass pitcher makes for an excellent presentation.
