Answers: It was established in the late 70s because of the high teenage drunk driving deaths.

I am in Australia. The legal age here is 18.
Different countries have different laws, and i suppose 21 is the age that they decided would be best.

It just is

some states is 21 other states is 18..when a man is 21 his maturity is that of a person 18.

No idea. I really don't see why it isn't 18, though. Alot of other countries have a drinking age of 18, and you can do pretty much everything else at 18, so I don't know why the drinking age is 21.

Lame.

For years 21 was the year a person was considered to be an adult. Our age limit is 18, but there is talk that it will be put back up to 20 or 21.

I t should be over 25, some people aren't mature enough to drink at a younger age..

No reason. It's a totally arbitrary limit. That was make it so insane.
It should be 45...

All those limits imposed by the governments are ridiculous. What make them think that the second you turn 21 you're able to drink alcohol responsibly?
Same with sex. 18 having sex with 17 one day before her b'day and he goes to jail and through his whole life registered as a sex offender. One day later, magically, it all turn out just fine.
That's the problem with governments. People being paid for basically doing a job with no responsibility, no measure of results, have too much time on their hands and come up with all these non sense.

Its 18 here in England but in 1984 in America is was raised from 18 to 21 because of teenage drunk driving.
