Anyone tasted froglegs? What do you think?!

Question: yes, they are very tastey, we eat them on a seafood buffett, I've also cooked them before, you have to keep a lid on the skillet, or they will jump right out of the pan, scared me to death when they jumped out at me.

taste like chicken.

tastes like chicken......

seriously...

I love them.. and they do taste like chicken.

There is a restaurant near me that specializes in them and they are great - just not enough meat on em.

I didn't think they had any taste at all. Although they did seem to have the consisitency of chicken...

They are like chicken but it is weird thinking about the frog!

I ahve not only tasted them I have cooked them numerous times when I was a chef, as for the "chicken" comparisions it is just because they have a neutral taste, not a distinct flavour, that is why your use garlic and wine for the cooking media for them.

I have seen them in Asian breaded like fried chicken and served with sauces, braised and serve in soup, not much else can be done with them, boning them is difficult and and the meat is not that pelntiful, unless you get the jumbo ones, more often it they are small and your serve 3-4 pairs.

they have a buttery, chicken taste

atleast the ones do at the chinese restaurant - maybe it's not froglegs :)

Not that bad.....taste like.......chicken.....

They do NOT taste like chicken. Chicken tastes like chicken. Frog legs taste like frog legs. I like the taste. The only problem that I have with frog legs is that they have too many small bones in them.

Ooh! I've been wanting to try them for a while now. I think there is a place near us that has them on the menu. =)

They are OK. Not my favorite. Not really like chicken.

They are big in texas. They are nothing to write home about and truthfully, I don't care for them. If I want something to taste like chicken I would just eat chicken.

Yes delicious beyond a simple description..
but reading your answers I am surprised at the chicken answers..
yes the texture is similar NOT the flavor..
frog meat is sweeter and very mild ...
but yes it takes many to make a meal..
I don't know of any aqua-farms for frogs..????
wana start???

i've never tasted it before, well, maybe you'd like to try the frog leg porridge that i found on 88db....have fun

They're skinny, stringy and taste like chicken.

It grossed my husband out when I ordered them one night. I played with them and made them "hop" across the table at him.
