How do you order a single malt scotch with ice?!
You then order a particular single malt brand on the rocks or over ice.
Obviously, since you are doing the drinking you can choose to have it any way you want, its your money so pay for it the way you want it. However, for the record, single malt is traditionally drunk with water added and nothing more. It should not be drunk neat as the addition of water is considered essential in order to appreciate that aromatic qualities of a fine scotch. Ice may offend some purists but should work in much the same manner as water as some will inevitably melt. Certainly it is better than having it neat.
I am not sure what you mean by "creamy" when referring to scotch. If you are referring to the sensation of it as you drink and swallow it, then maybe a more accurate word is smooth. Scotch should not have a thick or syrup like viscosity, nor should it have dairy cream added. Certainly there are beverages and cocktails made using whiskey and cream although blended scotch rather than single malt varieties are usually used in such cases.
In any case, enjoy what you like because its your life and your choice! Be happy!

You say, 'Glenfiddch, neat'.
Because you don't really want a melty ice cube getting all that...water, in your Scotch, do ya rully?
On the whole, lassie, the single malt scotch whisky is just trickier to get right, havin' no reliance on the forgiving nature of blending. Blended whiskeys, OTOH, combine several malts, which is easier to bring consistency to.
An' then 'ow you gonna figgure for all the impurities and crud you're dripping off into the whisky? You know, the icewell ain't piped to Evian or Perrier-you're getting good old whatever's available water.
Whisky neat's ultimately safer. Otherwise, just as soon go with a Jack and Coke, rocks.
