Can noncarbonated alcohol be bad for someone with a high risk of UTIs?!

Question:

Can noncarbonated alcohol be bad for someone with a high risk of UTIs?

I recently had troubles with 3 UTIs over a time period of about 3 months, so now I have to be very careful with what I do. I'm getting ready to go to a party where there will be alcohol. I know I shouldn't have the carbonated drinks (smirnoff, mix drinks with soda) but would other alcohol like whiskey, rum, and things like that bother my urinary tract? If there's even the slightest risk I don't want to do it.

Answers:
I don't think alcohol would have any effect, but it's probably not a good idea on general principles.

You're lacking in acidophilus, one of the essential bacteria we have in our system. Acidophilus and yeast naturally exist in our bodies and balance each other. If you are lacking in one, the other multiplies, and that's what causes yeast infections.

Take a daily tablet of lactobacillus acidophilus, you can find it in any drug store or health food store. I would take 2 a day for a couple of weeks, since you need to build up a supply. don't worry, you can't overdose, it's essential to your immune system. And drink lots of fluids to flush out the bad bacteria.

If you ever have to take antibiotics, be sure to take 2 tablets a day while you are on the antibiotics. They will kill off the good bacteria, as well as the bad ones, so you need to keep them replenished.

If you feel a UTI coming on, drink cranberry juice, the acid in it kills the bad bacteria. You can also get cranberry pills. Drink lots of fluids!

The alcohol has no effect on your urinary tract. I've had several UTI and kidney infections kept getting them and couldn't figure it out. Follow these steps and I guarantee it will help you drink plenty of water, don't take bathes with bubbles or anything, and make sure to pee after having sex (this was the major issue for me). These should all help you. Good luck

anything that dehydrates you isn't good when you have a UTI - if you do not have one and you want to drink, go for it. just make sure you drink plenty of water too. try to drink every other drink as a glass of water. a UTI isn't necessarily from yeast in your urethra - it's from any kind of foreign bacteria. keep yourself hydrated and throw a glass of cranberry juice into your diet as often as you can.
