Eggs for a hangover?!

Question: I have heard that eggs are good for a hangover - they help absorb the alcohol or something like that - anyway, what's the best way to have them? Scrambled/poached/boiled or fried? Anything else that might make me feel more human?

ya you're right cos eggs contain cysterine see (http://health.howstuffworks.com/hangover...

anyway I've done some research on the net link below and they've reported that cooked food doesn't break down much of this amino acid. So it is alright to eat your eggs scrambled, boiled, fried or raw... hm I'd prefer mine fried or scrambled but for you if you can still cook maybe you're not so hungover afterall d;

I don't think i could stomach eggs with a hangover bacon butty definitely works

Right. Take five bloody huge goose eggs. Boil them for two minutes. Add half a bottle of tabasco and half a jar of mayonnaise. Moosh them all together. When you're done with these, you'll have something other than a bleeding hangover to moan about.

Not eggs...too fatty....carbohydrates...like pasta.

I've never heard of it but the advice I got when I needed it was "eat something greasy, Advil, water and sleep it off."

Hope you feel better soon!

Dont do it, I did that yesterday and threw them right back up all over my friends new bathroom. Not good.

In a prairie oyster, that a raw egg in a glass with tomato juice, tabasco sauce, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
I personally find it a "kill or cure" method

mix 2 raw eggs in a glass off sherry drink straight away

drink raw

Just drink loads and loads of water. A hangover is caused by dehydration.

the following is the only cure for a hangover i have ever known to work : one table spoon honey and one table spoon apple cider vinegar(must be apple cider no other vinegar will work)in a glass of water ,drink one before you go out and one when you come home,if neccesary one when u get up.u can use as much water as u like the bigger the glass the better.

oohh...noo...
i've'nt heard dis thing b4.....

newayss... scrambled eggs r gr8

I'm confused whether you want the way of getting out from hangover or you've taken your egg-theory true & now here to know the recipe (scrambled/poached/boiled etc).
If so, I'm too stupid to know the cooking ways of egg as hangover remedy!
And if you really want to get out of hangover---drink & drink & drink---er---not alcohol but only WATER. (if too much water make you bore then try any fruit juice i.e. any liquid

A sachet of Resolve works for me. Specially formulated for that morning after feeling. Mixed with water it cures.

usually after a drunken night on the town, my eggs are fertilized.

Vitamin Water. "revive" its the purple one. it really helps hydrate you. you feel like crap cause you're really dehydrated.

Forget the eggs, just drink plenty of water to rehydrate the brain. Dehydration is the cause of the hangover.

RAW !

Try a bacon butty instead.

I never heard of eggs for a hangover. What I do works for me.
I drink lots of ginger ale and I make lipton soup with bits of potato and cilantro. I also eat a banana it helps bringing my potassium level back up. good luck

Raw egg whipped in sherry does it.

they do. make sure you have them fried or boiled NOT SCRAMBLED and make sure there well medium cooked and served with dry toast and a nice strong cup of tea.

joe.

Gatoraid or Poweraid. Those are the only real hangover cures. They replace all the the electrolytes that you pissed out the night before, and help you to retain water and get rehydrated. I always keep a bottle or two on hand and I'm never hung over.

yuk
