Is it wrong to give homeless people booze instead of money?!

Question: It's what they are really trying to get the money for it, so why not?

Answers: It's what they are really trying to get the money for it, so why not?

no it's not wrong, it keeps their stink out of my favorite liquor stores.

You are right but it mightn't look too good for others who see you do this. :)

lol, well I agree with you to an extent...some homeless people are alcoholics, in not most. So I guess by giving them money it would probably be for alcohol.

I'd say go ahead and give them booze if it's what they want.

You are assuming all homeless people are alcoholics, which isn't true.

just cuz you give them money doesn't mean that they will spend it on alcohol. no one shouldn't be judgemental on them because they are homeless. lots of factors play a role on someone being homeless

Not at all
How about some fresh fruit .

Why should it be a false dilemma like this? They need help. IF that means seeing them get housing and social and psychological help instead of either, we all would be in favor of it. It is the idiots who think by throwing welfare checks at the homeless that will end homelessness that are part of the problems. Money will go for booze, not for housing. So...don't give money (or food stamps, which they sell for cash to buy booze.) Booze itself just perpetuates the problem of alcoholism. Any recovering alcoholic will tell you that. It is not a matter of CHOICE for the alcoholic. He (or she) lost the ability to choose years before.

In a controled way it can be good. It's called maintanence, giving adicts enough of thier drug to stop the cravings so they can attempt to function. Just giving homless people free booze is not going to help them out much.

if that`s what they ask 4............what ever floats there boat.

Everyone gets hungry.

by far not all homeless people are alcoholics...although there are some that are alcoholics or drug addicts....i never have gave booze or money to a homeless person but i have seen them out and i have went thru the drive thru and bought food...my heart feels for them and i certainly would never judge- no one really never knows what a person has been through and what may have played a factor in the situation they are in....addictions is a very powerful thing that easily can consume your whole life....but many homeless people have just fell down on there luck....either way my heart goes out to them...

It's not wrong, Do what you want as long as their old enough....

Give them the money. That way you are not liable.

No..it is not wrong :
