Single Malt Scotch fans?!

Question:

Single Malt Scotch fans?

My favorite single malt scotch is Cragganmore. Its price has risen about $5. more than I am willing to pay. Can anybody recommend a 12 year old Speyside single malt scotch similar to Cragganmore?

Answers:
Let me admit upfront I had no clue what a Speyside was until I looked it up. But two of my favorites were on the list of Speyside scotches I found. Balvenie and The Macallan 12 year are both fantastic single-malts in my opinion. You can't go wrong with either one.

i am not sure about the price difference, but check out Dalwhinnie. Macallan 12 is very nice as well.

Can't whack a whisky and coke - not a puris, but a, Scottish!

Don't bother being so specific about Speyside, try any lowland malt in your price range.

I once found a liquor store in Reno, Nevada that had hundreds of single malts in the little airline bottles priced from $5 to $8. I made a few taste tests, and ended up staying with Macallam 12. But here's a web site (Beverages and More) that may give you a few suggestions to try. I did a search, so this page just has single malts.
