There's always a downside to everything and if you complain about the oestrogens, some authority might decide that women should stop taking the pill. Although, if the oestrogens aren't removed, men might not be able to perform!
Actually, it's not just the hormones to stop pregnancy and older ladies from drying up that are causing the problem. Some of the most widely used plastics behave like oestrogens, and they leach oestrogen like substances into the water.
As for getting all emotional and car parking, that would be the effect of the beer, not the hormones in it. What are you doing driving after 20 pints anyway?

The only way to stop hormones entering the environment, is to stop producing and consuming them! Taking the pill? Then you add to the burden every time you go for a pee... Once in the environment, they are going to stay there. Diluted, but present. They are just one of the many terrible chemical additives to our environment that we continue to pump out without a care in the world... We have no way of filtering them out again, even if we could afford the cost.

Nothing new here -this has been known about for years. There is only a human aspect to this where there is a crossover between sewage and drinking water.(recycling)
