What is the official time for tea/dinner in the UK?!

Question:

What is the official time for tea/dinner in the UK?

what are the official times for lunch/dinner/tea/supper

Answers:
Lunch Between 12pm - 1pm
dinner 5pm-6pm

there is no official time !!

Lunch is between 12-1pm and tea is 5.30-6.30pm

Lunch 12 or 1 pm and tea about half 6 but you don't get in trouble if you dare to eat outside these times!

lunch is 12 0'clock, dinner/tea 6 0'clock supper about 9 ish

What? Where are you from that you are told when to eat & drink?

Here in the UK we eat when we are hungry & drink when we are thirsty.

Breakfast takes place before 9.00am, elevenses at 11.00am...then Luncheon between 12.00 and 1.30.
Tea or 'Tiffin' tales place at 4.00pm.

It then becomes complicated. 'Tea' in the working class sense happens at 6.00 pm. This is called 'Tea' because Luncheon is called 'Dinner' by the working class.

'Dinner' is however the evening meal and takes place at 8.00 pm.

'Supper' is an evening meal that is in addition to any other meal.

Hope that is all clear!!

You're hungry? Go eat!

Maybe the Brits eat the last meal of the day earlier than everyone else, but we usually start work earlier the next day, too. Not everyone has the luxury of a 9-5 job and people eat when it is convenient to the people they serve.

Personally, I have no time for breakfast, grab a salad around 1.30 and if I'm lucky have a second meal at around 8 pm (concert timetable permitting)

I then eat at around 22.45-0:00 depending on when I finish work.

lunch noon- 1pm. High tea 3pm, tea time 5pm, dinner 8pm
elevens- 11am

Offical Time??? We aren't in a slave camp... but the typical time is 5-6.

Britain is all about the class structure...not so much now, but it is still there....so; Lunch for the upper classes is around 1pm..but this meal is generally called Dinner by the other classes....Tea for the Toffs is around 4pm and consists of tea, small sandwiches, cakes...Tea for the masses is around 6pm after work and is normally a main meal. Dinner for the snobs is an evening meal around 7pm and is equivalent of the working class tea, but with champagne and Quail etc.
Supper is before bed, around 9pm...The Upper class don;t have supper, as they are still eating Dinner until after midnight..I hope this is all very clear to you now.

lunch/dinner - 12 -2 pm
Tea - 5pm

when you're hungry!

when your hungry lol

lunchtime is generally 1-2pm. which is usually within working hours. Dinner is usually 5-7pm. this is different if you dont work as then dinner can be interchangeable with lunch. If you have dinner at 1-2pm then tea can be taken at 5pm instead. Very complicated, I know

Lunch is between 12noon -13.30pm
Afternoon Tea is 16.00pm
Dinner is 17.30-19.00pm
Supper is 21.00pm

whenever u are hungry, depends on people workin routines etc

in my house we usually eat between the hours of 6-8
