Sweet wine please?!

Question:

Sweet wine please?

I am looking for a sweet, grapey, not dry, red wine. I dont want to buy that boones farm stuff, but I don't want it to cost more than 20.00 a bottle either. Everytime I go wine tasting they hand be Ocean Spray Grape Juice and tell me to drink that....is there a nice sweet wine that isn't to thick either?

Answers:
Manischewitz makes sweet concord grape wine.

Try Carlo Rossi Paisano. It's sweet, fairly light, and though I've been characterized as a wine snob before, I like it. It comes in a convenient gallon jug, cheap! Also, unlike most wines, it lasts a while once opened.

Yeah have you heard of Valghing Vineyards in mode?

Try Blackberry wine. It is made from blackberries and is about 9% sugars it is nice and not to pricey.

Ice wines are nice and sweet too.

Good for dessert.

Good luck.

Red wines are usually dry. If you find one with concord and French Hybrid Red for the ingredients, it will be sweet and not so dry. Just have to check with your local wine store. Also, they sell wines in stores like Trader Joes and Whole Food. When you find one you like, let me know. I like the sweeter wines, but they are never red. ~-~

Wine from the Vouvray area of France is sweet if you can find it...look for "demi sec" on the bottle. Expect to pay at least $20.00.

Go with a port, it's a sweet red wine. There are a good amount of ports for a good price such as;

Dows 10 Year Old or their Old Late Bottled.
Sandeman Port

Those are some good one's I've had before. Or another red wine that is semi-sweet is:

Pindar Sweet Scarlet. It's made here, on Long Island. Goodluck!

It depends on where you live, but i'm from TX and I only drink sweet wines. The best are Texas Country Cellers Sweet Red and Twin Springs. Both of these are about $8 a bottle.

Yes, it's called Druid's Fluid and you can get it online at Troon Vineyard! It's the absolute best, and just like you requested... http://www.troonvineyard.com/
