I was wondering if I drank light alcoholic drinks in place of food would I still gain weight?!

Question: My dear, you need help so badly I could cry. As someone who suffered from an eating disorder and from alcoholism for many years, I can tell you that this is a bad road to go down.

Your best bet is to stop numbing your feelings and learn how to live in the real world. And if you have a therapist you might want to be honest with him/her about your plan to drink away your problems.

Yes, but you wouldn't really care that much.

Uhhh, I'm pretty sure your body would not appreciate you replacing food with alcohol. Alcohol still contains calories, so I'm assuming you would still gain weight.

Not a good idea.

yes because alcohol is highly caloric, and you would feel worse in the morning because your body didnt get any nourishment the night before...

you can never replace food with drink, our body needs both. If you drink a lot and then eat, you surely gain weight, because your body will be using alcohol as energy. So, all you have eaten will turn into fat and muscles becuase your body doesn't need to use that as energy and so you gain weight.

bad idea. you need real nutrition, not alcoholic in your system. it dulls the brain and pickles the liver and pancreas. plus they have sugar in addition to alcohol, even the light ones. learn to read labels and avoid refined carbs (e.g. white flour, sugar) and too much fat content. FRESH food is essential to healthy nutrition.

yes because your belly is not being worked out

no, you'll probably lose weight. and you'll wreak havock on your system. And you'll look horrible. and feel awful.

You would lose weight, but you would feel HORRIBLE. Trust me, after I turned 21 I basically partied for 2 weeks straight. I would wake up at noon, go out to "lunch" which usually consisted of me nibbling at some fries while drinking off my hangover from the night before. Then I would shower, pre-game for the night, and go out that night, all with no real eating involved. I just never had an appetite because I was either all filled up on alcohol or too hungover to think of eating. I lost weight but also felt like crap all the time. It was horrible, I would not recommend it.
