I only drink one brand of beer, others generally make my headhurt, why?!

Question:

I only drink one brand of beer, others generally make my headhurt, why?

people say it could be an allergy but i tend believe millers, bud, etc. are all the same. like gasoline, which is all the same despite which brand. but coors or millers gives me a hangover and bud doesn't. bud doesn't taste better. solve my puzzle.

Answers:
You are right; Bud, Coors, Miller, etc are almost exactly the same recipe-wise. Getting a headache from drinking beer can have a couple of causes.
-Drinking too much of anything: probably not the reason as you did not indicate you drink more beer when you drink something other than Bud.
-Impurities in the beer: all the major US beer companies have pretty tight quality control to ensure a consistent product. They also are more likely than a microbrewer to use adjuncts or other additives that could cause a headache....but since Bud doesn't give you a head ache, that's probably not the reason either.
-Old beer: like milk, beer has a limited shelf life and goes bad, especially if not properly cared for (keeping it out of the light and keeping it cool). If you are drinking beer from a bar or store that moves more Bud than the other beers, this is probably the reason. Also, if the distributors of Bud in your area do a better job of properly keeping the product and removing out of date beer from stores/bars; this could be the reason.

If you are looking for something that tastes better, try experimenting with beers brewed by someone other than the big three US brewers (Bud, Miller, Coors).
