What kind or brand of beer do you recommend?!

Question: I like really bitter tasting beer, what do u recommend?

Answers: I like really bitter tasting beer, what do u recommend?

To Alesmiths list I would have added...

Dogfish Head 120
" " 90
" " 60
Bell's Hop Slam IPA
Sam Adam's Imperial Pilsner
Goose Islands Imperial IPA
Golden Monkey

I've also lately started drinking Rye-PAs. I can't think of any major brands I've only been seeing them at brew pubs. They have a wonderful twist to them that the standard IPAs don't... Imagine rye bread made with beer...

If you like bitter try any India Pale Ale. There are a lot of micro- brews that make some really good ones.

I 'm not that into IPA's but I LOVE Sam Adams.

Newcastle, sierra nevada, guinness

You're basically going to want to be looking at craft/micro beers/brews and more specifically at styles like India Pale Ale (IPA), Pale Ale, Extra Special Bitter (ESB), Double IPA/Imperial IPA, Barleywine, or even some American Amber ales.

Some really easy to find ones...
Goose Island IPA
Sierra Nevada Pale
Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine (Seasonal, it's out now get it while you can)
Rogue Brutal Bitter
Rogue St. Rogue Red
Stone IPA
Stone Ruination

The only bitterness you'll get from Budweiser is from feeling that you just wasted your money.

IPA's are the Hoppiest! Recommend Harpoon, Dogfish 90 min IPA or Red Hook.

some european brand if u want real beer

The guy with the first answer is right... bitter means IPA or really bitter means Double/Imperial IPA. IPAs by definition are highly hopped and highly alcoholic. Highly hopped means highly bitter. Personal Recommendations for bitter IPAs: Stone IPA or Stone Ruination IPA (both expensive but the ruination is easily the most bitter beer I have ever tasted) Victory Brewing Co makes one called Hop Wallop. Try Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA or for more intense flavor the 90 minute IPA. Bear Republic makes a good Imperial IPA called Racer X or a regular IPA with rye called Hop Rod Rye. If you can find it then try Three Floyds Brewing Co. Dreadnaught IPA. Lastly try Lagunitas IPA.... that should cover it.... enjoy

Sea Dog, Bud, Killan's Red, Molten (Only in canada).

Red Stripe
Guinness
Corona
Killians
Dos Equis
Negra Modello
anything imported is great

I say stick to Budweiser, None of the lite stuff.Hell you'll get rid of the calories the next day.LOL
