hell yes you are a woman with taste.

I see where you're coming from. On the other hand, it is a blended whiskey, so it isn't like you're ruining a truly unique product. It's always going to taste the same, unlike single batch whiskeys out there that you can buy. And while it isn't cheap, Crown isn't exactly a bank account breaker. I what I'm saying is that if someone likes the taste better, they should just do it.

Drinking mixed drinks just doesn't convey the same je ne sais quois as drinking straight liquor. When I see someone sipping straight whiskey, I think to myself "perhaps this individual is someone worth my time."

So, you won't often find me drinking a Crown and Coke, but I'll defend the rights of others who do so, even if they do look a little on the lame side.

You are correct about that, however, the real drunks DO know the difference between their booze, I bartended for years...

NEVER, mix a Good Liquor with anything but ice.

Well my husband loves crown but for me he will mix in a little sprite to tone down the alcohol since hard liquor makes my stomach upset. Then I can drink it with him. But most people I know just drink it as is or on the rocks..

i totally agree...just pour that right over ice for me..that will be fine thank you.

I agree for the most part. Not really for coke though, I can see how people could taste the difference between a crown and coke and a well bourbon and coke. What I don't get is when people mix expensive liquor with juice, especially cranberry juice! I seriously can't see how anything could make it past the taste of cranberry juice except for maybe a hint of the alcohol. Whenever I order Washington Apples (A shot made with crown royal, cranberry juice, and apple puckers/schnapps...they're delicious) I always ask for it to made with Jack Daniels instead and I call it a White Trash Apple. It tastes the exact same and is like $2 cheaper!

chilled in a cocktail glass, neat, or on the rocks
