I cannot buy a bottle of wine in Oklahoma to serve with Sunday dinner?!

Question:

I cannot buy a bottle of wine in Oklahoma to serve with Sunday dinner?

Is this true? This is unreal!

Answers:
It's not just Oklahoma... Sadly here in Connecticut (a wonderful state in most other respects) you can't buy a bottle of wine on Sunday (unless you go to a winery, strangely enough - and there are wineries in CT!). You can't buy beer at a gas station or convenience store. In fact, you can't buy it after 9 pm any day of the week. Does anyone think this is solving problems with alcoholism or drunk driving? I'm pretty sure the winos stock up for Sunday, right?

Move to another state. Restrictive liquor laws are SO antiquated. I moved from PA to FL. It's alot more convenient to get alcohol here. You can get it in the grocery store 7 days a week. Convenience stores and gas stations too. The only drag is you can't get it prior to 11 AM on Sunday. But we should be grateful, as this was recently changed from 1 PM due to the Sunday football lobby!

You cant buy it on sunday, so just buy it sat and then drink it on sun.

Those laws are so danged pointless. Does anybody really believe God cares if you have a drink on sundays?

Can you "borrow' one from a neighbor? Dude, I would definately move!!! lol

How close are you to the TX border? If you can go to TX, you can buy beer and wine after noon on Sundays, but only at gas stations and grocery stores. Liquor stores aren't open. Why don't you just buy the wine on Saturday?

Are there any winemakers in Oklahoma? They might be open on Sundays, if it's legal AND they sell their own product.
Until recently, the state-owned stores here in PA were also closed on Sunday, but now select stores are open from 12PM to 5PM.
