Question:

How can one get red wine out of a nylon dress.?

it's been on there since last night

Answers:
If it's been on there since last night you want to take some liquid detergent and cold water and rub it around. If that doesn't work fully you should hit it with a stain stick and then wash it - in cold. If that doesn't work then it's probably stuck. Some dry cleaners are able to do spot removal. If it was a fresh stain then club soda would usually work. Baking soda can absord the wine stain as well but only fresh wine stains.

I find it's easier to use red wine to get young women out of dresses. =)

Secure the dress horizontally over a laundry sink.

Pour boiling water over the stain (be careful, the steam can burn you). - you might have to do this one 1 - 2 gallons of water - the stain will actually be washed out from the pressure of the water going through the dress.

You don't. Had you dabbed it with cold water and then covered the spill with salt when it first happened, you'd be fine. Once it has time to set - especially on nylon! - you're toast.

Try a DAB of white vinegar on a towel with a smaller DAB of liquid dish detergent. Depending on how big the stain is, rub softly the stain with the towel for about 45 seconds. Rinse thoroughly with HOT water. It should come out, for the most part, since it's only been there since last night. Depending on what color nylon dress, depends if it is "seen" on the dress. Don't leave the towel on the dress too long or it might "eat" at the nylon.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
