Has anyone had a problem being served alcohol on their 21st birthday?
Planning to celebrate in NYC, have heard of not being able to buy from a liquor store on your birthday but what about in bars & restaurants?

I have never had a probelm. As long as your birthday is the same day and not before. Take an id with you.
As long as you have your ID. Make sure it's not expired. You should be ok.
As long as you are 21 they will serve you. We went out the night before for a friend, we left at 11:30 and they made us wait till after midnight. It was fun though :)
funny you should ask this, today is my cousins 21st birthday. i don't know how legally they couldn't serve you if you showed them a current i.d., but i'm not sure. if you kept trying, even if one or two bars didn't accept you, others would. good luck and oh yeah PARTY IT UP!

With the proper id there should be no problem plus it being a birthday you may get a comp drink.
