I live in NJ. I want to be a Bartender. where can I take a course?!

I was a bartender for nearly 10 years and I will just say this... I have never met a bartender that actually got a job successfully after taking a course. A course teaches you nothing really... The way I did it was I worked as a server in a restaurant for a year... asked my barternder a million questions... took notes on what liquor goes in what drink... memorized all the important ones and dressed up like a hooker, went to a strip club... told them I had bartending experience (big lie) and got a job... now working in a strip club is not glamorous but it got me the experience I needed to get a better bartending job. The basic drinks you want to learn how to make (and don't forget, you also have to learn your pour count) are:
Long Island Iced Tea
Long Beach Tea
Martini
Dirty Martini
Manhattan
Sex on the Beach
Red Headed Slut
Jager Bomb
Cosmopolitan
Apple Martini
Mojito (a pain in the *** to make... if you ever want to make your bartender hate you... order one of those lol)
Pina colada
Strawberry Daq
Rum Runner
Old Fashioned (barely anyone orders it but it's good to know just in case)
Bay Breeze (vodka cranberry juice pineapple juice)
Sea Breeze (vodka cranberry juice grapefruit juice)
Madras (vodka orange juice cranberry juice)
Cape Cod (vodka cranberry juice WITH LIME... without is just a vodka cran)
Cubra Libre (Rum and Coke WITH LIME... without is just a rum and coke)
And don't forget the all important bloody mary... very important how you choose to make this... A1 steak sauce adds a great flavor
Learn those and you are good to go my friend... I would say that the only thing you could learn from that bartending class would be the pour count (how many seconds of pouring = how many ounces... VERY IMPORTANT) If you don't know that you are screwed. The best bet would be to get a good server job in a bar or restaurant. As far as the age and attractivness.... it all depends on the type of environment you are trying to work in... Good Luck to you!
