Try a bottle of Pinot Noir ( the t is silent in pronunciation). It is a very mellow tasting red wine and goes very well with red sauce.

A nice Merlot or Chianti Classico!! A hearty red is what this wants to enhance the lovely flavors you are describing!

Merlot

I would use a red. Merlot is my favorite. It is a very dry wine.

Merlot, Shiraz or a Cabernet would go very nicely with your meal. If a red is too strong for your tastes, then go with a rose or a blush.

The bottom line is... what ever you like, is what you should drink. No one should ever tell you that you're pairing the wrong wines with the foods.

Chianti would be the best choice because it goes with the spicy sausage. A nice Italian Syrah wouldn't be to bad either, don't get a shiraz (i know, same grape) but they're usually made in Australia, and not very good.

A chianti will pair better with this meal than a merlot, merlots are just your generic run-of-the-mill medium bodied dry red. They don't usually enhance or take away from the meal. A chianti or syrah will definitely enhance your meal.

Budweiser
