Answers: In my neighbourhood Tennants Extra seems to be a popular choice first thing on the morning. Technically a beer of course but beggars can't be choosers. So to speak.

Champagne all the way, if you can't afford or are unwilling to pay those prices then might I suggest a good Prosecco or Cava (Cordoniu is good cava and shockingly good value in fact we had a bottle of it this morning with our kedgeree).

Cripes man!!! I always whine at breakfast... do it without fail for forty five years... and thats before I see the papers.
pinot gris (pronounced peeno gree)... it's very light like a pinot grigio but sweeter and with a much fruitier aroma and aftertaste... its very good
mimosa; 1 bottle of champagne mix with orange juice or pink grapefruit juice. happy breakfasting.
