Yahoo Answers spell check has necrophiliac in it but not lambic and pilsner... What do you think about that?!
Answers: I guess they have a different definition of a "cold one."
I think they need to update their spellcheck. Curious, why are you looking for necrophiliac anyway? I only ask because I'm an embalmer. Anyway, I think some spell check updates are necessary here.
Does that mean that sleeping with corpses is more common than drinking beer? Cuz that would be scary! lol! I'll just have the beer, please!
That's because your friends wont get mad at you if you help yourself to the last pilsner.
Eeeeeewwww.
I say vote for her...cause she's cuter!
(wink...wink)
and to the "embalmer"...I am "prepping myself" as we speak!
i think it's because over 2/3's of the people on here have no idea what those words mean nor any idea that they exist or how to spell them... but everyone knows what a necrophiliac is. lol... i blame lack of education
I am thinking that it means that they would rather you discuss having sex with dead people instead of alcohol.
I think you have too much time on your hands, my dear. Now.. I'm going to go get something to drink, and try and pronounce those words... and see how messed up I can make them.
Spellcheck ain't never heard of some of the words in my vocabulary either.
Not sure about YA spell check, but MS Word spell check doesn't recognize "waitstaff," "mouthfeel," "umami" and others.
OK, I just spell-checked with YA, and they had "waitstaff," but not "mouthfeel" (the textural and tangible qualities of the beer, including alcohol heat, carbonation level, etc.), nor "umami" (the fifth taste sensation, often described as 'savory,' including the ability to detect MSG or fatty flavors).
Although, I couldn't think of a pun as good as the "cold ones" joke.
On a side note, how do people know if someone is "hot" or not? All the girl has posted is a cartoon avatar that's presumably a likeness of herself. Necrophilia aside, YA is creepy enough because of the guys who are attracted to drawings!
Cheers!
Just be happy that they finally figured out that "batch" isn't the same as the same word with an "i" in place of the "a". That mistake made it tougher to discuss homebrewing (another word they don't recognize).
I suspect that Y!A wouldn't recognize about half of the recognized beer styles. To be fair, neither would a lot of dictionaries.
