Which alcoholic beverage is favored by alcoholic's and why?!
Answers: Yeah alcoholics will drink anything. However, I noticed that it usually varied by gender (which I hate to generalize but as a bartender, I have noticed patterns). Whiskey or scotch for men and vodka or gin for women.
Well, if you're in alchoholic generally you'll go for the cheap stuff if that helps at all.

Most alcoholics are like the bottle or can that the alcohol comes in. They're all different shapes and sizes and they're all filled with a different alcohol.
Whiskey. It typically is cheaper and contains a higher alcohol content.
Vodka is the drink of choice for mothers, and beer or whiskey is the drink of choice for men who are alcoholics.
Potters Vodka beucase it is the cheapest alcohol ever. Less than $3 for a pint and it will mess you up bad.
Alcoholic's will drink anything with alcohol in it. That's why they are alcoholic's. However, most have a particular poison of choice. I was a bartender for a few years at several different venues. One thing I did notice is that a large majority of the vodka-holic's preferred Smirnoff. Another thing that I noticed is that the people who were most out of control would finish the left-over drinks after last call. Also, have u ever noticed that some people, especially at parties, won't stop until everything is gone. I've also heard of people being so hard up for alcohol that they have even drank rubbing alcohol. I think the most famous case of that is Betty ford, Ex-President Gerald Ford's wife.
Basically, any alcohol is favored but most seem to prefer liquor that packs a powerful punch. And, generally they drink it on the rocks or neat.

Cheap vodka or rye whiskey for functioning alcoholics. Sterno for the non-functioning.
I was a rum drinker but most recovering alci's that i know eventually ended up with the clear liquors.They say it was easier to camouflage the smell & it stayed in their system longer.Your friendly neighborhood Tazman.
