Yes i am the same and so is my sis just the smell of most alcohol makes me urge and so hardly ever drink, yet the rest of my family love drinking i once read some people have gene that makes alcohol taste really bitter maybe thats us x

Everyone is different that is why your likes and dislikes are probably not the same as mine. So you don't like alcohol......don't drink it. No big whoop.

I hate the taste of it aswell so i mostly stick to wkds! which is probably better for us anyways! lol. the blue tongue thing is great lol alcohol tastes disgusting!

Alcohol has no taste so don't worry. If you can't stomach alcoholic drinks you are lucky and will save a bundle.

Look on it as a good thing... Alcohol is a poison and we shouldn't drink it at all.. I am the same with beer, never have been able to drink it.. But at my age I think I'm lucky as Ive seen many of my friends die because of drink related problems...

Listen to your body. Do not drink any alcohol even if hidden in a sweet mixture. To force the issue could turn you into an alcoholic. Your body is telling you this.

I don't have this problem. Just do what you're comfortable with. It doesn't matter if you can't drink alcohol - you don't need it to enjoy yourself. I will only have a drink if I'm not driving, if I am the driver it doesn't matter, and yes I still have a laugh! I get IBS which means I can't tolerate alcohol in excess, but I don't let it affect my social life!

You may have an allergy.
My friend breaks out in hives all over if she only has a small amount of alcohol.
Yours doesn't sound as bad. Get used to being the designated driver.

Get some orange-flavored rum, and mix it with some orange soda. You won't taste the alcohol one bit. The flavor in the alcohol is the secret. You can use other flavor combinations (ie lemon rum + pepsi lime), but if that seems too complex, just mixing two of the same flavor together (orange/orange) makes a really tasty drink as well.

My girlfriend wishes I had this problem. Really though it's not anything if you don't like alcohol. I've read that a lot of Asians as a whole lack the enzyme to break down alcohol so a lot of Asians don't drink.

I on the other hand love whiskey

I'm not saying your Asian or anything against Asians

i used to have that prob. but it jus how ur body is, my advice... keep chuggin

Alcohol is a really toxic poison it destroys soft tissue in the stomach, liver and brain. No one likes the taste, it tastes like any other distilled spirit (Gas/petrol, meths, kerosine etc.)
The pressure to drink it forces us to overcome this until we can tollerate it. People have different initial tollerances you just have a reall smart body, listen to it, not other people.

All alcoholic drinks contain the same intoxicant which is ethanol, so if you can drink Smirnoff ice then you can stomach alcohol. Neat vodka is rough on anybody and there's plenty of people who don't like wine (they're called men;).

People have different tastes. I wretch if my tongue even touches a tomato. It doesn't mean anything though. If you like sweet alcopops then that's your thing. No one likes everything.

If you enjoy it, drink it. If you don't, don't. At the end of the day there's a booze for everyone (apart from teetotallers)

Yes. And a good thing too. I was drinking too much. Got ill when my diabetes was out of control and stopped. Just like that. Now I am feeling sick, just thinking about it. That was 3 years ago.

It is now bad thing to be intollerant to alcohol.
