Andrea Immer Robinson's wine tasters rated the Chardonnay 20 for Taste and 24 for Value on a 25pt scale. The Shiraz was rated 19 for Taste and 23 for Value.
My personal opinion is that these are great "house" wines for everyday drinking and real crowd pleasers because the label is known and widely acceptable at a bar or for parties.
Obviously if you're having a special dinner or particular guests you'd want to upscale it a bit... but where I live, I can get these wines on sale for about $5 for a 750ml bottle so there's no way you can argue with taste per buck!
In that price point, with a similar style, you might also explore Alice White wines (favorites are the Chardonnay and Shiraz) and Little Penguin (especially the Merlot)

Not great, but definitely cheap. There are so many other good Australian wines to try: Marquis Phillips, Lindeman's, Rosemont, Penfold's, even Greg Norman makes a good Shiraz. Try some wine from the Barossa Valley region.
Not so bad...it is a good price after all...if you want something else more finest...you have to pay more, so far I know. Try the Shiraz from that brand.

ooh, I like them alot. I have tried the chardonnay/Merlot. Not too bad.
Not a big fan. A good value, however, I'd rather spend an extra 4 dollars to get something decent. Although I do use the chardonnay to make a great white sangria. If you enjoy it, it really doesn't matter what the price tag or the label says. But I don't think I'd ever bring a bottle to a dinner party.
for drinking, not at all. They're cheap and spend more money on advertising and package design than they do on the actual wine production (that is a fact). There are much better wines out there that are just as inexpensive and much more consistent through all the varietals. If you're going to buy wine from the southern hemisphere, then you're better off going for a Chilean, Argentinian, or New Zealand wine at this point in time.
pretty good and the price is right, my fav is the Merlot
It is cheap wine, but if that is all you can afford, it will do.
