Anything that comes in a plastic bottle will work; use it strictly for mix drinks though...
If you're going to take shots, I recommend you save some money and only get Don Julio, Patron or 3 Generaciones. Cheap tequila smells nasty (yes, you can actually smell the difference), tastes nasty, burns your throat, burns your stomach and makes you vomit faster. But even if you ignore all that, the biggest difference is the next day. Good tequila will NOT give you a hangover, trust me on this one.
P.S. Always drink tequila chilled, it will still cause the same damage but without the pain... drinking tequila at room temperature is askin for it! LOL!
Jose Cuervo is good...and not too expensive
what is cheap? if you are just making mixed drinks such as margaritas.. I'd say the cheapest possible.. which I believe is Montezuma or Juarez.. those run about $10... but if you are shooting them I'd buy Jose Cuervo.. personally I prefer Sauza Hornitos
