What can i mix wine with?!

Question:

What can i mix wine with?

Can I mix juice with burgundy wine to make the taste less bitter? Am I better off using something like sprite? I don't want the alcohol watered down, I'm just trying to improve the taste of what I have.

Answers:
You can do several things.... do as BlueChick said and make sangria http://www.wineintro.com/sangria/...

OR - you can mull it...

Or make a spritzer or wine cooler with club soda or juices.

Make sangria, there are a ton of variations. This is the basic sangria but there are stronger versions, spicy versions and even on for white wine. Its great with chips and dip... :)

Ingredients
4 cups dry red table wine
2/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 lines or 1 apple, sliced, to serve

Half fill a large jug with ice cubes. Pour in the wine and the orange and lime juices.

Add the sugar and stir well until it has dissolved. Pour into tumblers and float the lime or apple slices on top.

Serve at once.

ill take a merlot and mix it with some apple cider, especially at christmas time

go with this
2 apple cubed
1 orange segments
1/2 cup grapes
1 pear cubed
1 2ltr. lemon lime soda (sprite)
1/2 cup rum
1 btl. of dry red wine or more to taste
mix all in a pitcher with lots of ice chill in the fridge
ENJOY.

sprite very little

How about you just buy a better wine? Beaujolais - Louis Jadot is a really good Burgundy wine to try. Cheap wines are often bitter.
