Wine consumption is rising in America and decreasing in France. What′s the reason?!


Question: Wine is a very controversial issue. People are drinking less in France. That′s great !!! But in most of the states people do believe wine is good and necessary. Why ? What a different trend! Only french and americans answerers for this question!

It's because in America you can get good wines, from everywhere. In France, you only get French wines.

MADD their powers are greater in the usa against hard booze! advertisement dollars are tremendous in the usa for wine consumption!

less fat and more alcohol percentage than beer. happy drinking you wine-os.....

Probably price has something to do with it. American wine is much cheaper than anything French and the weather is less likely to affect the crop each year. A 5 liter boxed wine here is only about $10.

California!!! I really haven't had too many French wines that I love, but I do like my California wine...it's good for many reasons: taste, price and then the warm fuzzies.

The French are jealous. Our wines taste better than theirs and aren't as expensive.

maybe its taken the Americans longer to reach the same level of sophistication
