Hi, a friend of mine has an unopened bottle of White and Mckay's whiskey 71 years old.?!
Answers: Would anyone out there have an idea how much it may be worth, or where it can be valued.
Collectors would go mad to get at this. There's a thought, no drink ever survives even tilll the next day never mind 71 years old. Its probably undrinkable, but boy will you get some money for it!! Just write to White and Mackay, or a specialist wine firm. Its so easy - don't put it in an auction. Ah sweet dreams of Whisky Galore!!!!!!!! And people think we Highlanders are thick.
it would have lasted one weekend in my house,it can't be that good if no one has opened it in 71 years
The word is whisky. Whiskey is Irish. This bottle is probably worth the equivalent today of what it was worth in 1936. Whisky does not improve in a bottle. The label on the bottle or the bottle itself will probably sell for more than its contents,
put it on ebay you dont have to sell it if you put it on bidding
From what I remember Whiskey does not age in the bottle like wine or Port so it should taste the same as when it was bottled. However that does not mean that it is not a lot more valuable because it is rare.
It will be awful to drink.Whisky is blended. The label should be
worth something.I reckon your thinking of Malt which would be
worth something.
Do an Internet search on this.
the label will be worth more than the bottle but don't take it off! \
also i wouldn't drink it as it probably isnt that nice.
joe.
Worth nothing now because you have opened it up but if you left it sealed up it could be worth £50.00 maybe more.
its worth the same as a bottle you will get in asda, it doesn't age in the bottle, open it and enjoy................
