Well drinks?!

Question: could someone give me a list of different and varied well drinks?

Answers: could someone give me a list of different and varied well drinks?

You can get almost anything as a well drink. Typically, if you don't specify you don't want a well drink, that's what you get. It comes from the bars using non-premium liquors that they keep under the bar, in something referred to as a well.

Well drinks are cheaper than a call drink, that is, one with premium liquor. For example, a rum and coke will probably use something like Ron Virgin rum. But, a Captain & coke will use Captain Morgans. A vodka martini could use something like UV vodka, but a Grey goose martini will use Grey Goose. This is why those good liquors on the shelf stay so full, you have to specify you want that.

Rum and coke, burbon and coke, Vodka tonic, 7 and 7, Martini, basically anything that has a mixer and your choice liquour, excluding juices, is considered a Well drink.

The term "well" refers to the non-premium types of liquor that are use in mixed drinks. For example if one orders Grey Goose Vodka...that is not well...it would be considered premium at most bars.

Well liquors are the basic ones kept in the "well" on the bar (gin, vodka, scotch, bourbon, rum). All are served with basic mixers, such as water, coke, 7-Up, and tonic. They are the cheapest mixed drinks you can get.
