What kind of milk do you drink? Why?!


Question: I switched many years ago from whole milk to skim milk because I thought it was healthier. Now I'm gradually switching back to whole milk because of its higher vitamin count. I read a report that said if you drink 3 glasses of milk per day it will lower your cholesterol, lower your blood pressure (they say it has a better effect than a low sodium diet), and will make you loose weight (theory here is that whole milk is more filling so you won't be hungry as often).

I don't drink a lot of milk so when I do, I tend to splurge on whole milk or chocolate milk.

I love regular whole milk, but I tend to drink a lot of it. So lately I have switched to 1% or skim milk. It is also good to me. I love my milk ice cold.

2% because it is more healthier than 1% and i hate chocolate milk

I drink lactose free 2%. The reason why is I don't drink a lot of milk, so I buy lactose free because the expiration date is always a month away from the day I buy it. Basically, it stays fresher longer. And it tastes the same as regular 2% to me.

Skimmed.....because I like it.

I drink soy milk. It is suppose to be healthier for women. I really like the taste of it. The best is Silk brand. I also do have whole milk. I love it with ovaltine.

Soy milk because of high cholesterol. It took awhile to get used to. I've been drinking whole milk for 55 yrs. but what can you do. I can still drink 1/2 gal a week.

i like 2% just cuz im so used to it.
i was pretty much raised on 2%

although 1% tastes almost the same [in my oppinion]

I love nonfat milk to drink or with cereal!! However, I use 2% for baking.

Skim milk - ice cold! I can't stand whole milk as it seems like cream to me!

2% cows milk, i like whole milk but i dont like the calories.

Either fat-free Lactase-added milk or vanilla soy milk. Much easier on the digestive system.

1% because it's not so creamy and thick .. Definitely with Quik powder sometimes. I'm a milk addict. I drink a ridiculous amount of it. It's tasty. With anything. Almost.

Unsweetened soy milk. I started it to avoid cholesterol, because skim milk tastes like soapy water to me. Now I prefer soy milk to any other type. [And my cholesterol is 130-140.]

None. I can't stand the taste and even if I have ice cream, I have a slight lactose intolerance so it gives me gas.
