Why is an orange an orange?!

Question: What makes an orange so damn special that it gets to be called by its color, why can't a banana be a yellow, or a lime a green, or a tomato a red. I know there is no answer, but it's just not fair.

YOUR RIGHT ITS NOT FAIR THIS **** IS ALL UP IN THE HIZZLE

lime is a color........

Its not the fruit that named after the color.
Its the color name which is given after the fruits name.

For all other colors there are many natural products.
However for the color Orange there is only this fruit.

Well then why not call you an "offwhite"

I don't know how to answer your question. What would i call my pizza, a multicolour...?

Oranges are just special ok, no reason, they just are... and your not meant to ask those sort of questions.......ok lol

i think about this **** all the time!! haha

annddd imagine if like how i saw green was how you saw yellow!! but it was like learnt as the same.
wow.
life is buzzy

maybe banana means yellow in other language???????

how about lime or peach - those are colors and fruits

cos oranges are secret government probes
they plan to use them to wipe out ginger people
they only called it an orange cos their think tank wasn't thinkin to well

(i have not said this or they will get me!)

Whoooa! How psychedelic! You can hear the sound of one hand clapping, young padawan!
