18th birthday, alchohol?!
Answers: hey im turning 18 soon and i will legally be able to drink (australian) and i wanna know what to start with, what australian drinks should i try, ive never had alchoohol before so im not sure what id like, what do you recommend for an aussie ;)
If you start with Foster's or Cooper's The america beer will taste like piss. Stay with the aussie beer. Much better.

Whatever you do educate yourself first. Just recently in the U.S. a young girl who went out for 21st birthday (legal drinking age in U.S.) was treated to shots etc...from friends.
They went home , to sleep. She never woke up. 21 & DEAD--- ALCOHOL POISONING.
Educate yourself and while you may be mature enough to have a drink --show your true maturity by not trying to drink everything offered to you. There are no prizes for drunks.
Also, make sure you have a designated driver. Don't get into a vehicle with anyone who has been drinking and don't drive. It is easier said than done once you begin to have a good time.

Start with beer. Drink some foster since its Australian and then try some American beer like coors light or miller lite.
Rum and Coke (Cuba Libre) is always a good mixed drink to start with... very smooth and not too strong!
