If cheese and grapes go good together, would cheese and grape jelly?!

Question: Yes!

Take a piece of cheese (something salty, like a sharp cheddar), and spread a thin layer of grape jelly on it. Eat and enjoy!

It's very good, you'll like it. The sweet and savory taste great in combination.

it depends on the type of jelly that is used. i wonder if you can make a grilled cheese with grape jelly?

Quince jelly goes really well with cheese, I suppose grape would too, but it might be too sweet.

The problem with this combo is that often with jelly high fructose corn syrup is added to make is sweeter. I'm sure you can taste the diff betw. jelly & grapes. Grapes are more mellow and clean the palate somewhat. Instead of grape jelly how about orange marmalade with that cheese. Also the type of cheese may matter.

I guess it would depend on the type of cheese. I'd rather just drink the wine and eat the cheese with that. But, that's just me.
